7 Mar 2008 - The Search For Funding Goes On...

David updates you on funding for the project...

"Childrens Fund have been the main funder for the project for the past two years and we have received additional top up funding from Chelmer Housing Partnership, Chelmsford Borough Council and some smaller pots of money from other organisations such as Essex and Southend Sports trust, which enables us to support local volunteers who wish to enrol on training courses such as F.A. Level 1 & 2 football courses.  The Childrens Fund funding comes to an end at the end of March, but we have applied for a further six-month extension to continue with the project, through the Schools, Children and Families Directorate at Essex County Council.  Chelmsford Borough Council has already kindly agreed to support the project with further funding for the coming year but we await news on additional funding which will see us be able to continue with the project longer term."
