The Department of Health have funded the Project Manager's post for the last 6 years, with the focus on the recruitment of unemployed volunteers and delivering sport as part of the health agenda.

The project works in conjunction with Chelmsford College to provide an alternative education programme.

Childrens Fund Essex part fund our Community Sport Co-ordinator Post. Their funding is focused on 5-13 year olds, providing sport and leisure activities that promote healthy lifestyles and the development of personal skills.

Chelmsford Borough Council is the main partner of the project, providing us with free office space at Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Centre. The project also works closely with Play Services, Community Safety and Sports Development.

Chelmsford Volunteer Centre work with the project to recruit volunteers from the local community. They hold details of all our volunteer opportunities on their database. We also work closely with their Millenium Volunteer programme.

Connexions - refer young people to our project either as participants or volunteers and work in partnership with us during the summer programme.

We work closely with the Essex County Football Association to assist them in delivering Junior Football Organiser courses and In School programmes such as Junior Referee Course and Love Football... Learn Football.
